Surprise, surprise!
Can report that we – Radio Northern Star -are back on 1611 and 5895 kHz thanks to our new technician. Since the regular internet connection is down due to construction work on the broadcast site, the solution was mobile streaming. Have also improved the sound settings on 1611. Should therefore sound better. We expect more downtime, but will try to be back!

As we earlier informed the transmitter house at Askøy Kringkaster is under restoration, with consequences for our transmissions.
Our AM/medium and shortwave transmitters are now off the air as we are without an internet connection to the broadcasting site.
So we have switched off the transmitters for the time being.
We have also reapplied for all 4 frequencies and hope we will come back soon.
We’ll probably be silent until January.
In the meantime we maintain our 5G broadcasting as usual with 3 stations.
