3GL 1341 Reactivation.
Hearing this at home in Sydney tonight with classic oldies although mixed with the more local Sky Sports Radio from Newcastle. 3GL on top of Sky when signal peaks. Is this a prelude to a permanent reactivation or a temporary nostalgia exercise? The sweepers I heard during the day while in Melbourne all date back to its pre-1990 heyday. Generating a lot of nostalgic memories on some of the Geelong Facebook pages.
According to the ‘3GL on the West Coast’ Facebook page (which is a fan page, not official):
“Word on the (James) street is 3GL is in the process of being re-launched on 1341AM in the Geelong area.
More information is expected from Geelong Broadcasters in the New Year but test transmissions are now being conducted.”
