Sunshine Radio closedown info.
The switch off of the 855 kHz service will be between 1200 and 1300 Friday 19th Jan.
There may be separate programming on the MF feed for the close-down.
I have been invited to turn it off as I switched it on in front of the Radio Authority Engineers in Oct 1992.
The first record played on the test transmissions period was “The is the way it is” by Bruce Hornsby and the Range and it will be the last record through the MF transmitter.
Quite fitting….
