1287 KHz 2TM Tamworth Moving To 95.5 MHz.
Credit to Paul Mech (Sawtell, NSW) for emailing details re a planned 1287 KHz (2 kW) AM to 95.5 MHz (20 kW) FM move.
During summertime tropospheric enhancement, 95.5 MHz 2TM should be heard many days in Sydney. A horizontal roof-top rotatable 8-element FM Yagi and TEF6686 tuner is used.
Time to start recording 1287 2TM for remembrance. Once MW switches off, they don’t come back.
There are some overseas stations on 1287 KHz that will sometime later this year be receivable for the first time.
