Vahon Hindustani Radio in The Hague on 1566 kHz has stopped broadcasting, and handed in its license. The power originally was 1 kW, but the last couple of years the site of the transmitter was moved to the studiobuilding in the centre of The Hague, and power was reduced to only a couple of watts.
RDI (former Agentschap Telecom) has announced that the frequency 1566 kHz is now available for LPAM (50 or 100 watts) in the province of South-Holland. Interested parties can apply for a license as from 13th February. However: first come, first serve.
