Israel

All AM transmitters in Israel have been shut down. There was indeed an experimental transmission from a transmitter in northern Israel at a frequency of 1458 10 KW for a few hours and it was stopped.

Egypt

The large transmitter 1000 kW at a frequency of 621 kHz of Voice of the Arabs had backup for occasional maintenance work at a low power of about 50 kW.
This transmitter was also not activated anymore.
From this I understand that the station broadcasts only on the air in the Cairo area on FM and on the Internet.

Israel

On July 5 2020 there was a news post that Kan Moreshet was broadcasting on 1458 KHz from She’ar Yashuv, Israel on a reactivated transmitter.  That transmitter is no longer listed on the Kan website’s main frequency list, nor on fmscan.org, but is listed under a separate frequency list from the Kan Tarbut page (another Kan radio station).
Has it closed down?  This would mean that Israel no longer has any stations on mediumwave.

Egypt

For about a month now, the Voice of the Arabs from Cairo on the frequency of 621 kHz a Megah transmitter 1000kw has disappeared. Other transmitter of the Palestinian program and the broadcast in Hebrew to Israel from a transmitter in El Arish Northern Sinai Peninsula in Egypt on the frequency 1008 kHz has also disappeared.

CFAJ CLASSIC 1220 St. Catharines.
Joe Gurney, the technician at Classic 1220, informed that the station is transmitting on 1220 kHz with 10.000 Watts. CFAJ is a resurrection of the former 1220 CHSC site which went dark a number of years ago and has sat dormant since then. It has been a tough task to rebuild the site and get it operational once again.
