BBC Radio 4 Longwave closure date confirmed. I understand that the closure date for BBC Radio 4 on longwave 198 kHz will be 26 September 2026, Arqiva staff have been informed. Its not known yet if the transmitter will remain on the air for the Radio Teleswitch Service after this date, of if that will end at the same time.
