A Swedish DX-er, Lars Jeppesen, got this reply from RNE Alicante the 9:th of December. Could it indicate that the closing date could be changed?
“Dear Lars,
We confirm receipt of your message.
A few months ago, RNE ordered a reduction in its AM broadcast power. The closure of these broadcasts was scheduled for December 31, 2025.
Thanks to public pressure, the President of RTVE has assured us that these broadcasts will not be shut down until all the commissioned feasibility studies are completed.
However, he has not committed to not closing them.
Given that this is a necessary public service, I am forwarding you a petition for signatures, in case you would like to sign it against the closure of our AM broadcasts.

It’s a shame that the younger generations aren’t keeping up their passion for radio. May radio never die.”
