Migration of some MW stations to FM (extended band) in São Paulo and region, in process:
1040 kHz Radio Capital, to 77.5 MHz;
1200 kHz Radio Cultura, to 77.9 MHz;
1500 kHz Radio Cumbica (Guarulhos), to 84.1 MHz (GRU FM).
This indicates that there are 60 days still for these stations to cut their signals in MW definitively.

Pakistan
Radio Pakistan, Larkana [1053 kHz], is facing multifarious problems since its beginning which have never been resolved.
Sources have revealed that 14 out of 40 modules of 100 khz transmitter installed at the Chooharpur station are burnt at the moment and no alternative electricity supply has been ensured to keep it’s transmission going round the clock.
It was also learnt that Radio Pakistan’s range is about 600 square kilometers or between 400 to 500 square miles and it’s transmission is even heard in India apart from Pakistan, but it has been limited to FM service and it’s medium wave broadcasting has been inoperative due to negligence of the engineering department of the Radio Pakistan.
Sources further added that if the electric supply is disconnected from the grid station to carry out electricity load shedding or on outage basis for removing faults then the transmission of the Radio Pakistan is also closed down as the station has no standby generator facility which is astonishing.
These sources further said that the generator supplied to the station has become outdated and no new generator has so far been supplied to ensure round the clock broadcasting.
Members of Writers Club, civil society and social welfare organisations have demanded the federal government to immediately remove faults, ensure supply of a new diesel generator along with its running cost so that Radio Pakistan Larkana could be able to function properly.
Radio Pakistan, Larkana, was inaugurated in 2017 by Sheeraz Latif ex-General General and Fayaz Baloch, ex-Director but it’s foundation stone was laid by Shaheed Benazir Bhutto in 1995.

KVET [1300 kHz] License Restored.
In what was described to us as being an inadvertent typo by the FCC, the license of KVET has been restored.
While nobody has gone on the record over what happened, we are told KVET’s FRN was misconstrued for another station which did surrender its license this week. It will likely be another day or two before the FCC’s database properly lists which station had done so.

BBC Radio Ulster 1341kHz and BBC Radio Foyle 792kHz have both ended normal broadcasts on MW. They are carrying a recorded message telling people to retune.
These messages are a last chance to hear these stations and to get a QSL. Not only are they the last chance, they are the best chance. That’s because the recorded messages are unique on each frequency and they repeat every minute or so. So you have a great chance of hearing an ID, which might be difficult with normal programming – especially with nighttime networked shows.
I’m led to believe that these recorded messages will end on 23rd June after which the transmitters will fall silent.

iHeartMedia Surrenders 1300 KVET Austin License.
In another instance of the land underneath the station being worth more than the station itself, iHeartMedia has surrendered the license of Sports “1300 The Zone” KVET Austin TX.
KVET’s four tower array is located on Metric Blvd. in a residential neighborhood in North Austin. The property is still owned by former KVET owner Butler Broadcasting Ltd., which sold KVET along with FMs 98.1 KVET-FM and 100.7 KASE to iHeartMedia predecessor Capstar for $90 million in 1998.

Here some informations about IRRS on LW 207 kHz.
The site is the same as 918 kHz. It’s in Italy, in Villa Estense near Padova.
The broadcaster is AM-Italia (ex. Radio Challenger) http://www.am-italia.it/
So future plans on 207 kHz with 300 meters antenna and possibly 1 kW.
Actually IRRS is on 918 kHz from 1700 to 2100 UTC.
