I’m in the shack at 1614 UTC on 12 June and can detect a carrier on 1386 khz, it’s too weak to hear any modulation but is this the Sitkauni station or has someone else set up shop there?

Funkisradion in Halmstad plans to broadcast on both FM and medium wave this weekend during DX-Parlamente in Ullared. Henrik Pålsson is coming to Ullared to give a talk about his station, but the station also plans to broadcast on FM 100.6 and medium wave 1602 kHz. The station has a temporary licence to broadcast on medium wave. There are also some plans for the future of shortwave, given the changes in legislation. https://funkisradion.se/

MW to FM – migration to ‘extended’ band, results.
The stations that operated on medium waves in Brazil and that joined the FM migration program (to the so-called ‘extended’ band – from 76.1 to 87.9 MHz), at the time of this change, received government authorization to continue broadcasting on medium waves for another 5 years, in a parallel programming with the FM frequency received. Others changed radically, completely extinguishing their medium wave station. There were also those that changed their name when migrating. Finally, still during the period of the change, some new stations appeared (both on the previous FM band and on the ‘extended’ band), which did not come from medium waves, with new proposals and programming.

Lithuania’s LRTC stopped relaying Radio Liberty on 1386 kHz. As reported earlier, LRTC payed for these broadcasts from its own funds from April 15.

I wonder where the two million euros from Sweden went:

Radio Liberty seems to be OFF 1386 kHz today. And there was info about cancellation of all USAGM TV and radio channels on Hotbird from June 3…

Rádio Brasil Central AM – which currently operates at 1270 – will migrate to FM, according to the process approved by the Ministry of Communications at the end of last February. According to the president of Agência Brasil Central, Reginaldo Junior, the migration will guarantee the survival and legacy of 75 years of the station. The AM operation will be terminated at Fazenda Bananal, where the transmitters of these operations in medium, short and tropical waves are installed. Two other FM radio stations may be created with the migration of shortwave and tropical frequencies as well, still unpredicted.
