WCNW ceases operations.
Vernon R. Baldwin Inc. has signed off Christian Preaching/Southern Gospel 1560 WCNW Fairfield/Cincinnati OH.

The daytime only signal had been licensed with 5kW day/1kW critical hours from a four tower array in what has become surrounded by suburban development situated between a large shopping center and a mobile home park. The station has been operating via STA with reduced power due to damage to its transmitter line. The Fairfield Historical Society notes that the station’s land is being offered for sale separate from the license.

After a couple of weeks with approx. 20 Watt and almost horizontal polarization Radio208 is now with 500 Watt (AM carrier) on 1440 kHz.
Balun didn’t work, but has now been fixed.
Radio208 also on 5970 kHz with 200 Watt.

After previously simulcasting on 92.3 from March 2012 until the end of 2015, Federated Media has flipped Classic Hits “Big 92.3” WFWI Fort Wayne IN back to a simulcast of News/Talk 1190 WOWO.
The News/Talk station had continued to have an FM presence in the city on 107.5 W298BJ, but the move to the Class A 92.3 brings the station back to FM across the greater Fort Wayne region.
WOWO currently ranks second in the Fort Wayne market with a 6.4 share in the Fall 2022 Nielsen Audio ratings and third with a 10.2 share in the February 2023 Eastlan ratings. WFWI had a 2.4 share in the Nielsen’s and 1.4 in the most recent Eastlan survey.

RADIO GIRONA has ceased to use 1008 kHz on MW on 31st March 2023.
Ràdio Girona SER 1008 kHz has stopped broadcasting on the Medium Wawe frequency of 1008 kHz. Despite Its power of 6 Kw, the Nautel XR6 transmitter located in Sarrià de Dalt, was used at low power before being switched off.
This transmitter centre has always had poor performance: the tower is only 40 meters high and around has an iron net as fence. Grounding was also not too good. But that was not all: at a distance of only 10 metres there are a church and cemetery.
