Thanks to an owner the DX Test committee has worked with before, we have graciously been given 3 stations to do a DX test with. It’ll be 3 to 6 hour tests with our “all black coffee, no sugar” tests… just morse code, sweep tones, phone off hook noises and similar that just slice through the noise.
We’re hoping to announce the stations soon as soon as the station owner gains control of the 3rd station (he’s buying it and doesn’t have legal control yet, sale is about to be filed)

NHK will be reducing the number of channels from three to two in April 2026 (R1, R2, FM → New AM, New FM).
This reduction will force NHK to cut many programs.
As a result, it ceased broadcasting the FM radio program “Radio Midnight (Shinyabin) ” on September 29, 2025.
Until then, the program had been broadcast at 11:05 PM on the AM channel and 2:05 AM on the FM channel.

According to reports, Warner Bros. Discovery and its head in Latin America, Mr. Marcos Brito, reached an agreement with the licence holder of CNN RADIO ARGENTINA (AM 950 kHz), Argentinos Media S.A., owned by businessman Marcelo González, to end broadcasting on 950 kHz, as a result of CNN’s global restructuring, which plans to reduce the number of affiliates in Latin America. CNN Radio will continue broadcasting until 19 December 2025 from the current studios of La Corte Producciones in the Chacarita neighbourhood, and will then broadcast only music programming. When it resumes broadcast in mid-January 2026 the station will once again be known as RADIO BELGRANO and will broadcast from its new studios at WAM Entertainment Company S.A., located at 1080 Pueyrredón Avenue in this city. These changes also mark the beginning of new programming for the station.

After 88 years, Radio Nacional de España will stop broadcasting on Medium Wave to concentrate its efforts on digital radio.
RTVE has confirmed that Radio Nacional and Radio 5’s AM broadcasts will end before December 31, 2025, bringing to a close an era that began in 1937. The corporation is thus reinforcing its commitment to digital radio on DAB+ , a more modern technology than FM, with higher sound quality, a wider range of content, and adapted to the current needs of citizens.

CINA 1650 Mississauga ON has been approved to move to a auxiliary transmission site. The power will change from 5 kW day, 680 watts night to 400 watts day and night. The unexpected end of lease of the current site is the reason for the change.
