I just noticed another new one on 972.0290 over the cochannel Korean (and possibly Rhema). MP3 attached. Local ads for Murwillumbah, so this is 2MW Radio 97, part of the Super Network. Best heard from 1255 to 1300. MP3 attached.

The transmitter in Batrah, Egypt has serious issues, now it’s on 822v kHz. Few days ago it was on 808.3v then on 810v kHz instead of 819 kHz. And the audio is heavily distorted and under-modulated.

CJMR 1320 has returned to the air in the Greater Toronto Area. They are testing, playing south Asian music and identifying the city as Mississauga Ontario (it was formally Oakville). Power is not known but estimated to be 10kWs. It is unclear at this time if transmitter site is at CJMRs old location or somewhere else.

Went out for a band capture last night (19th August) after a hiatus of over a month due to the coldest of winter. Noted the 4VL/t for Cunnamulla is still absent (1st noted absent in June). Not sure why as to the prolonged outage. In comparing 918khz 4VL’s main frequency with the song playing, no match could be heard in the mix on 1584.

Traficom Finland has confirmed that Alfa Media Group, which was granted a radio broadcasting license
for the medium-wave frequency of 963 kHz, has not commenced broadcasting; consequently, the license has
lapsed. Traficom confirmed the lapse of the license last week.
The old 600 kW 963 kHz radio transmitter in Pori was in such poor condition that it could not be repaired.
