– Kossuth Rádió from Solt on 540 kHz will be off air completely from 31.08 to 04.09 and from 07.09 to 08.09.
– MR4 from Szolnok will be off air at 1188 kHz at 08.09 in the morning hours.
– MR4 from Marcali will be off air completely on 1188 kHz from 22.09 to 25.09.

CBC received approval to convert 990 CBY Corner Brook NL to FM. The new station will be at 106.7, 10kWs. A FM repeater will be added in Lark Harbour.
Ici Radio-Canada received approval to convert 860 CBKF-2 Saskatoon SK to 91.7 FM, 44.225kWs. FM repeaters in Prince Albert and Zenon Park will get power increases as well to fill in coverage with the closure of 860.

RealMix will start broadcasting on medium wave this Saturday!
The broadcasts can be heard on 1485 kHz AM from Raasepori, in addition to the familiar shortwave frequency of 6005 kHz.
During the test phase, the transmitter power will be 15 watts.
The plan is to increase the power to 250 watts in October, which will improve coverage.

Caroline DJs Tell the True Story of Riviera Radio
Riviera Radio is the English-language station covering the French Riviera, “From San Remo to Saint-Tropez.” It currently broadcasts on 106.5 FM from Mont Agel, but in the late 1990s it broadcast on the former RMC Radio Monte Carlo frequency of 702 kHz.
After being acquired by Global Radio, it changed its website and stated that the station “started as an initiative by Princess Grace to serve the English-speaking community along the French Riviera.”
But this is far from the truth: Riviera Radio, originally known as Radio Sovereign, was started by a group of pirate DJs, including some who had previously worked for Radio Caroline.
We decided to contact two of them, Grant Benson and Kevin Turner, and ask them to tell us the real story.
It is a story that began in Bordighera, Italy, using a 2 kW transmitter bought in Milan and an antenna purchased in the UK.

Oregon AM Radio Station Recovers After Tower Suffers Crop-Duster Strike.
“A crop-duster aircraft crashed into the primary broadcast tower for an AM radio station in Klamath Falls, Ore., last week. Basin Mediactive’s KLAD(AM) 960 is licensed to Klamath Falls and transmits from one tower in a four-tower array along the Lost River, about five miles southeast of Altamont. It runs 5 kW during the day and 26 watts at night from the site. . . .”
