At peaks Radio Islam from RSA is almost readable here. First good peak was at 2011 UTC.

MAJOR SOLAR FLARE AND EARTH-DIRECTED CME: Today, the sun produced one of the strongest solar flares of the current solar cycle: An X5-class powerhouse. The explosion hurled a very fast CME toward Earth. Yesterday the 10 of November between 1625 and 1705 UTC I heard an interval signal on 1575khz it sounded like a guitar or similar instrument, I waited until 1630 to hear a station sign on but none heard I tried again at 1645 and 1700 but there was just a continuation of the Interval signal. Another mediumwave mystery!

I did some research regarding Sudanese MW on a KiwiSDR in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. All listed sudanese transmitters seemed to be off air, but on 1602 kHz I heard South Kordufan State Radio in vernacular language (highly presumed!) with acceptable signal. According this article Radio Nyala (official name: South Darfur State Radio) was re-launched in late 2024 under the affiliation of Rapid Support Forces, but this mentions only 98 FM. https://www.darfur24.com/en/2024/12/27/nyala-radio-resumes-after-more-than-a-year-and-a-half/
Nyala Radio is listed on 540 kHz too, but no source about its state. But I read somewhere several years ago that Radio Nyala had a distorted, unstable signal on 540 kHz, so according to this _maybe_ it is active.

KOFI 1180 kHz: it’s taken a lot longer then expected, they had thought they’d be at full power by the end of summer 2025… but it’s taking longer to finish up the new building.
They’re still at 1kw non directional full time.

A big angry sunspot is facing earth
This weekend, active sunspot 4274 is directly facing Earth. With an unstable delta-class magnetic field, it poses a threat for powerful X-class solar flares.
If such a flare does occur today, it will certainly be geoeffective.

NOAA forecasters say that G2-class geomagnetic storms are likely on Nov. 8th, 9th and 10th as additional CMEs hit/graze Earth’s magnetic field.
The source of the storm clouds is active sunspot 4274. High-latitude sky watchers should remain alert for auroras mixed with moonlight.
