Swaziland

Radio Capodistria has been off air in recent days, first noted off here on the evening of the 12th. This has allowed the reception of a rare DX country. Swaziland! I have had Swaziland in the past on short wave but
this is the first time I have received it on medium wave.

I don’t know why Radio Capodistria is off air at the moment and I assume it will return, or has it gone for good? But grab this rare DX country while you can.

This is my recording from the evening of the 13th.

Received on my 20m x 5.5m flag at 215 degrees. Reception seems to be best after/around 20:00. This faded (or closed down?) at 20:51 on the 13th.

Civic Media has moved another of its Liberal Talk stations across Wisconsin away from the format as 1450 WRCE/107.7 W299CD Richland Center has flipped to Oldies.

Positioning as “Local News and Timeless Hits” like the rest of the company’s Oldies stations, the station will feature music from the 1960s and 70s. From 6-9am the station will simulcast features from sister Country 100.9 WRCO including “The Hank & Phil Roundup” and “News From The Center”. The station will also carry Old Time Radio “When Radio Was” weekdays at 9am along with Milwaukee Brewers baseball and University of Wisconsin sports.

Civic Media has moved several of its Talk properties in its smaller Wisconsin markets to Oldies in recent months including Conservative Talk WMPL Hancock MI, and Liberal Talkers WFHR Wisconsin Rapids and WGBW Green Bay.
