Transatlantic DX: US “daytimers”
As we move towards Autumn in Europe I have noticed the first signs of US daytimer stations:
1530    WVBF Talking Information Network  2255utc 1/9/26
1590    WHGT (probably) Christian programming cut power mid programme  0015 1/9/26
Both on the BDMR but I think these were either on the Asian or S American Beverages (I don’t think the N Am Beverage was active).
This a good sign because the 2nd half of September is usually the better time for catching stations before they power down.

I have been wondering for a while whether PEF Canal 1 from Funchal on Madeira Island is still active on 1530 kHz. It is the only station still listed in ‘Europe’ overnight @ 3 kW, between the daily ROU broadcasts.
I often see a fading carrier after 1900z (QRT Romania) but never got a readable signal.

Last night I left my rx tuned to just below 1530 in USB to see the carrier over time and potential audio, but only the carrier was visible in my spectrogram thru 0245z when Radio Constanza signs on, from 0300z both ROU stations were audible with different programming.

But at 0117z, a male ID (jingle?) was suddenly audible in English, but I cannot understand the station name or even a QTH. Nothing heard before or later, only the music which faded rather quickly thereafter.

Do you have any idea what this may have been?
I attach what I heard and my spectrogram, yellow time scale in UTC.
My location is central Bavaria, my rx a SONY CF-2001D, my ant. a 50 cm MagLoop
