“Antenne Domstad was briefly testing the LPAM frequency 1179 kHz from Utrecht today.
In recent weeks, a signal was also spotted on 828 kHz from Utrecht.”

1179 is delegated to them, 828 is delegated to Stichting Middengolf
(mediumwave foundation) both with 100 Watt. I don’t know if they
cooperate.
828 from Utrecht is also green and someone here told me that this means
that they haven’t started broadcasting yet.

Radio208 has been running fine with 500 Watt from Ishøj on 1440 kHz with the new cooling system which was installed in the old CCA transmitter on September 24th.
Sometimes the connection from the studio to the transmitter in Ishøj breaks down. When this happens instrumental guitar is aired (from the DEVA device). We are considering how to overcome this problem.

World Music Radio – WMR: The exact place for the aerial for 927 kHz has been agreed upon with the land owner, the aerial “mast” and the concrete footing have been purchased. The transmitter was already purchased some time ago. The site is some 100 m from the Radio208 aerial on 5805 kHz in Hvidovre, Copenhagen. Hopefully 927 and 5805 will coexist without any problems.

Format change: KOAN-AM 1080 Anchorage, AK
Not that this will matter much to anyone except locals and those arctic north DXers, but KOAN 1080 Anchorage has dropped talk radio programming for spanish music.
Source: Station facebook page, the station has been sold as the owner is running for mayor and wants to avoid any conflict of interest.

Ireland
RTE Ireland [252 kHz] uses the same transmitter as Atlantic 252 did until it closed on 20 December 2002.
Atlantic 252 broadcast from Ireland with high power daytime authorised up to 500kW but reduced to 100kW overnight.
However, RTE uses lower power 24/7. Often Algeria is stronger than RTE on 252 here in the UK.

El Salvador
According to several reports in Arctic Radio Club’s “mv-eko” Radio Elohim YSGS in San Salvador has reactivated 1630 kHz.
During the night to November 5th it was heard by several DXers in Sweden identifying as “Radio Elohim 1120 AM – Con las dos Alas del Evangelio Alabanza y Palabra”.

Tune in for more nostalgia with another Radio Caroline North broadcast

You’ll hear all the best music from the 60s – early 90s, plus the chance
to win some wonderful prizes courtesy of Tonbey London.
Sadly again, due to current restrictions restrictions, we can’t use our
radio-ship Ross Revenge this time, so the broadcast will be
land-based.
Listen in on 648 AM in the South and South-East, on 1368 AM
in the North and North-West courtesy of our friends at Manx Radio, the
Radio Caroline app and around the world online here (via the Manx AM
Radio Player).
We’d love to hear from [you] during the broadcast via
memories@radiocaroline.co.uk and remember, it’s the only email address
that gets you straight through to our ‘North’ broadcasters directly.

DXpedition AIH124 in Lapland will be ending soon. On Saturday morning I’ll be heading south with Jim Solatie. I haven’t continued my daily postings here, because I’ve mainly tried to focus on working remotely this week, and so keeping all the recordings running at the same time has been enough of a challenge.
Propagation has been average, no terrific historic openings to any particular direction, but we did enjoy a few short bursts of rare stations for instance from Brazil, the U.S. Midwest and Queensland. Also, our new 214-degree wire turned out to be fabulous in netting stations from Nigeria, Algeria, Spain, Italy and the Netherlands, when listening to more far-away targets didn’t keep us occupied.
Anyhow, here’s my five-cent tour of the Aihkiniemi DX cabin, shot in one take, mostly intended for those of you who haven’t yet visited the place.

NZ Medium Wave Changes
New Plymouth stations RNZ National 918, NewsTalk ZB 1053 and Coast 1359 all left the air on 13 November, opening up new DX opportunities for Kiwi DXers.
The sole remaining New Plymouth AM station – Gold AM on 774 will remain, though a relocation of the transmitter is anticipated.
The other NZ station on 1359 – More FM Queenstown – has also ceased broadcasting.
