Ukraine

Interesting situation with Ukrainian Radio’s relay via Lithuania on 1386 kHz. It seems that Radio Baltic Waves International relays the stream of Radio Ukraine International, not that of the UR’s First Channel. In March-May, both streams were identical, but some differences have appeared over the past month. At 21:05-21:30 UTC (approx.), there is a Russian language show called ‘War and the Russian world’ (probably an allusion for Tolstoy’s ‘War and peace’).

RUI’s schedule (for example http://ukr.radio/schedule/by-date.html?channelID=4&date=2022-06-24) features short news bulletins called ‘Ukraine: Security Issue’ in Belarusian, Russian, Polish, Hungarian, Slovak and English (the latter one is also heard on UR’s frequencies in Ukraine) at 21, 21:20, 22, 00, 02, 04 UTC. The schedule is very volatile. I can confirm the Polish language block at 22 UTC. The MW frequency has been mentioned even by the host. News in the aforementioned languages must be relayed on 1386 kHz as well (between 21 and 03:30 UTC).

Important notice: RUI schedule on UR’s web site shows correct programming only for previous days, not for the current or next ones.
