After 2½ years of work, my Chinese AM ID Database is nearing its completion, including nearly 40 hours of station audio, top-of-hour IDs and time pips for nearly 600 stations (almost the entire Chinese-language AM band), network and frequency lists, and recordings of often hard-to-identify Asian languages and dialects.
In addition to that, last-minute plans to include the entirety of the Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau AM bands are already underway.
I have been working on this project for 40 hours a week for the past two months to ensure it is
completed next month and can admit it is perhaps one of my biggest contributions to the radio
hobby, certainly since my last major project in 2017. Plus, it is a full documentation of the Chinese
AM band as it begins to meet a similar fate as other country’s AM bands have. Hope you all can
