Aftermath Of The Grindavik Eruption! Eruption Still Going! Coast Guard video.
Icelandic Coast Guard helicopter video of the area. I don’t see the Navy LF antenna towers but at the most recent report I’ve gotten they are still up although the site has, of course, been evacuated.

Two radio towers are briefly visible in distance at 5:45 and 7:00 into 8-minute audiovideo. Audio is nothing but noise. With English captions. Lava encroaching onto houses.

North Korea

According to news reports, North Korea’s Pyongyang Broadcasting Station abruptly went off the air around 1200 UTC on January 12. My reception monitors in Tokyo, Japan, have not been able to receive MW frequencies of 657, 855, and 873 kHz, which used to have strong reception. 801 kHz cannot be confirmed due to interference from my local station, but Japanese and South Korean DXers monitors report that all MW and SW frequencies are not being received.

I can receive MW 720, 882 kHz of the Korean Central Broadcasting Station and MW 621 kHz of the Voice of Korea Japanese Broadcast.

News report (sorry in Japanese)

North Korea

Re.: https://mediumwave.info/2024/01/13/north-korea-2/
Indeed, Radio Pyongyang (Pyongyang Bangsong Imnida) is off air.

The Shortwave outlets (3320 and 6160 khz) and the MW transmitters (621,810, 657, 855 khz) are silent, but the Southern jammers are still working. The unstable transmitter from Kimchaek is on air (801v khz) with an empty carrier with hum, probably KCBS will be carried on it.

KCBS (Chosun Jungjang Bangsong Imnida) is still on air on 702/720/819/873/999 kHz on MW and on 3205 (DRM) 3250, 3959v, 6100 and 11680 kHz on SW. Monitored the situation on the Oita SDR in Japan.
