I stayed in Laos for a week at the end of January. The MW scene of this country was observed as follows by my XHDATA D-808 portable receiver.
Vientiane: No MW signal on 567kHz and SW signal on 6130kHz were detected at all.
Savannakhet: I did not go to this city. No signal was detected on listed 585kHz in Vientiane at night.
Luang Prabang: In the city strong signal on 705kHz of Luang Probang Provincial Radio Station. s/on at 2330UT, s/off around 1500UT. Announcing 705kHz only. FM signal on 102.6MHz or 103.5MHz was not on air. The station seem to be on 705kHz only. The MW transmitting tower was observed at the western end of the city along the Mekong River.
It seems Luang Prabang on 705kHz is now the only one AM station in Laos. In this country radio and television are not the major medium, even the kid Buddhist priests are using smart phones for information and entertainment.
