BCE (Bell Media) to sell 45 of 103 Radio Stations.
Bell has announced a layoff of 4800 people and that they are selling almost half of their regional radio stations

It is worth noting that last summer they shuttered several stations across Canada, including shortwave outlet CFVP in Calgary which simulcast MW outlet CKMX aka Funny 1060.
One of the companies purchasing the Bell stations is Zoomer Media which owns CFZM, 740 khz Zoomer Radio in Toronto, a clear channel 50 kw outlet that still broadcasts music on MW. The potential for something other than talk/ sport/ news to return to the sold outlets is certainly there.
