One CME has arrived, more to come:
A CME struck Earth on Aug. 10th (1230 UT), but the impact was weak and it did not cause a geomagnetic storm. At least two more CMEs are on the way. Their arrival on Aug. 11th and 12th could cause G2-class geomagnetic storms.

SMOOTH Radio Wrexham And Cheshire
.
The breakfast show between 06:00am to 10:00am is a lady presenter sorry I don’t know her name plus local news and travel. DAB is very poor out of Wrexham and this radio station is not available on FM. It looks like to be on air until 2025 on 1260 medium wave.
SMOOTH Radio North West on 100.4 FM is different because the breakfast show between 06:00am to 10:00am is a man presenter sorry I don’t know he’s name plus local news and travel but you pick this station from Wrexham but the wrong region for Wrexham.
I think more people listen Smooth Radio on 1260 medium wave than DAB. Lot work needs to be done to improve DAB in this region before switching off medium wave.

IRCA Slogans as of August 10, 2024 are now available.
https://misc.kg4lac.com/irca
4,747 stations with slogans.
If a station doesn’t appear this indicates I don’t have the station slogan.
Since silent stations come and go, seemingly, quicker than I can update the list, silent stations remain in the list until they are actually deleted from the FCC list.
Acknowledgements are given on the final page of the Slogans List.
The “Recent MW Station Contacts for Reception Report Verifications” link to the list is also available on the same webpage.
As always, please let me know of additions, corrections, problems, etc.

MULTIPLE CMEs ARE HEADING FOR EARTH: The past 48 hours of high solar activity has propelled three CMEs toward Earth, including one launched by a strong X-class solar flare. Predicted impacts on Aug. 9/10th, 11th and 12th could spark days of minor (G1) to strong (G3) geomagnetic storms. Sky watchers may be able to see and photograph mid-latitude auroras this weekend. 840 kHz: Radio Bandeirantes, São Paulo SP.
End of Radio Bandeirantes’ medium wave broadcasts, after 87 years of full operation. It went to FM 86.3 MHz. On 05/08 0259, the signal was abruptly cut off without any goodbyes. It is regrettable that it happened this ways. Zero!, definitively.

English observed today à 1800, followed (as usual) by french at 1830 (probably until 2030, and at 2100-2130)

The VOA Djibouti relay on 1431 kHz was carrying Radio Sawa in Arabic when checked from 1700-1800 on Sunday 21 July using a Kiwi SDR in Cyprus. The transmitter is on the air daily from approx. 1600-0300. Until recently 1431 kHz carried mainly VOA English and French programming.
However in mid July it was carrying East African languages such as Amharic and Somali instead of English, but when checked again on 26 July had reverted to carrying VOA English.
