The Finnish Transport and Communications Agency Traficom has granted Alfa Media Group Oy a software license for the more marginal AM radio operation in Finland on the medium wave frequency in Pori. In September, the agency also granted licenses for FM radio operations to those locations where there were enough frequencies for all applicants. Now the Government has made the decisions regarding the frequencies that had several applicants.
Traficom has granted Alfa Media Group Oy a license for the AM radio frequency Pori 963 kHz, which was applied for in the radio round last summer. There are hardly any AM broadcasts in Finland these days, and in recent years there has been only one AM radio station in Tampere in long-term operation.
