According to reports in several press portals, the businessman from Rosario, Gustavo Santiago Scaglione, acquired 10% of the shares of “Grupo América” that belonged to Gabriel Hochbaum, thus becoming a shareholder of such multimedia company, together with Daniel Vila and José Luis Manzano of “Grupo Uno S.A.”, and the owner of Swiss Medical, Claudio Belocopitt. Scaglione also began negotiations with Hernán Domínguez, owner of “Ideas HD”, the main production company in the Province of Córdoba, which produces content for TV, radio and streaming. He also plans to relaunch LV2 (AM 970 KHz) in the city of Córdoba in February 2025, with an interesting programming and the incorporation of renowned journalists from the Mediterranean province, with the clear intention of competing with Cadena 3. Gustavo Scaglione quickly became a media octopus in the interior of the country, starting with the purchase of “Grupo Televisión Litoral S.A.” of Rosario, which operates LT83 TV Channel 3, LT2 Radio 2 (AM 1230 KHz), Rosario 3, FM Vida, all of Rosario; LU93 TV Channel 6 of San Carlos de Bariloche, and the TV repeaters of “Telefe” in Tucumán and Salta. It should be recalled that by means of Decree No. 426/2023 dated 08/23/2023, the National Executive Power awarded Scaglione the Amplitude Modulation frequency at 970 KHz (LV2), to operate with a Category III, equivalent to a power of 25 Kw (Daytime) and 1.5 Kw (Nighttime); in addition to the Frequency Modulation Service with the distinctive signal LRJ944, in the frequency of 99.7 MHz, with a Category “A”, currently operating under the name “Radio Vida”, which rebroadcasts part of the programming of Cadena Vida de Rosario in 97.9 MHz, both for the city of Córdoba city, Province of Córdoba. These services were under the orbit of Ricardo Jaime, former Secretary of Transportation of the Kirchners, which had previously been in the hands of the Mendoza-based Vila & Manzano.

The idea is that the new LV2 AM 970 will compete strongly in Córdoba with Cadena 3 (AM 700 KHz), the most listened radio station in the interior of the country, and as a counterpart to the landing of the latter in Rosario (FM 100.1 MHz). In statements to the Cordoba media, Scaglione assured that LV2 “will not follow the model of a traditional radio station, since it will coexist with influencers and consolidated media figures”. In this sense, he said that LV2 will be “a modern radio, with the idiosyncrasy of Cordoba, made and managed by people from Cordoba; an informative, cheerful and modern radio”. Of course, the station’s buildings will be located in an impressive place: the “Capitalinas” tower, with a spectacular view of the city, in an area in real estate expansion of Cordoba’s downtown area.
