252 Arctic Radio, Inari, is starting weekend test transmissions in August 2025. A Nautel ND2000
transmitter was very kindly donated to the project along with it’s ATU and antenna. It’s the old Ivalo airport AKU 432 kHz Nautel ND2000 transmitter, ATU and Aerial Oy AV1102 antenna. The station will start with just 500W but the coverage should be around 300-500km depending on conditions. Power will later be upgraded, says operator Matthew King.
