Gothenburg Radio Museum was observed from 10:58UT tune-in on Saturday 20 December 2025 on 981kHz with a test transmission consisting of a 1-minute clip of music followed by a 10-second burst of CW then an announcement alternatively in either Swedish or English. The English announcement went as follows: “This is a test broadcast from the Gothenburg Radio History Society on 981 kiloHertz. The frequency was assigned by PTS to Swedish coast* and telecom authority. For more information search for the radio museum in Gothenburg”.
The station was observed again the following day with the same test transmission from tune-in at 10:15UT.
Reception was fair to good via a webSDR in the Gothenburg archipeligo, much better than when I heard the station on air back in May.
*I think she meant the Swedish POST and Telecom Authority, but “coast” is what I hear.
