China National Radio and Television Administration (NRTA) closed 3 radio services based in Beijing area at 1600UT on December 22, 2025. The 3 services are, Voice of Reading (747kHz), Relax FM (91.5MHz/1251kHz), Hit FM(88.7MHz). The previous announcements of the closing were given in all 3 services.

Announcements of termination;
Voice of Reading: 1201UT on December 22
Relax FM: 0006 and 0405UT on December 22, saying the service will be replaced by CGTN Radio English service
Hit FM: 0144UT on December 22, informing the close of Beijing and Shanghai stations

After  termination;
Voice of Reading: 747kHz has been relaying CNR-9 (Voice of Literature) on 106.6MHz. Satellite broadcasting has been stopped.
Relax FM: 1251kHz has not been on air (there is still the possibility of temporary closing for maintenance), FMs in Beijing, Shanghai (87.9MHz) and Chongqing (89.8MHz), as well as Satellite broadcasting have been relaying CGTN Radio English service. Online broadcasting has been stopped.
Hit FM:  Both satellite and online broadcasting have been stopped.

Beijing 747kHz is over NRTA No.582b transmitter site at Tiuntan, Dongcheng District, Beijing with 10kW.
Beijing 1251kHz is over NRTA No.582a transmitter site at Panchuang, Haidian District, Beijing with 10kW.
Relax FM is also relaying in Lhasa, Tibet on 100.0MHz.
Hit FM was the domestic service of China Radio International (CRI), relayed in 17 domestic cities in China.
