IRIB German Service now available on Medium Wave
Iranian State Broadcaster “Voice of Islamic Republic Iran” is airing its German Language Foreign Service on Medium Wave recently:
First observed on 26 Feb 2026 between 1852 and 1928 CET (1752-1828 UTC) on 639 kHz, also heard there on 28 Feb. (it is there at least since 21 st . or 23rd, when the spanish program was observed about two hours later – according to mediumwave.info, the english service is also there) giving it a schedule : first German, followed by English (from 1830 UTC) and than Spanish (from 1930 UTC).
Today (3rd March) the German Service was launched at 1928 CET (1828 UTC) but on 702 kHz (!!) with the opening sequence and welcoming. usually, this frequency s/off after the armenian px.
This is quite surprising, as the IRIB German Feed is not even available on Short Wave any longer (as far as I know).
Certainly, this is due to on-going events. I could not find any information regarding this new German broadcast.
