New RSL station: Outreach Gold has just opened a brand new studio in Chandler’s Ford and is currently conducting test transmissions on 1557 kHz medium wave. It will start regular broadcasts from Friday 6th March. They are currently playing classic hits mostly from the 70s and the 80s, with intermittent announcements of their test transmission. I am not sure of the transmitter power, but I can hear it clearly because I live locally (Southampton).
Ofcom adds, “Outreach Gold will operate as a vintage radio station showcasing music and content
from the 1950s to the 1980s to the The Hilt, Hiltingbury Community Centre, in Hampshire SO53
5NP.”
