Netherlands

Another new Dutch LPAM station is about to start. Official frequency 1179 kHz, tests last evening and night on 1206 kHz. Excellent signal in southern Finland, despite being just 50 watts. Love the QSL design!

Thanks to everyone who sent us reception reports after Saturday night’s test broadcast on medium wave. 122 reports from 24 countries, almost all reporting excellent reception. We were being heard as far away as Canada, and we had a plethora of reports from Scotland, England, Italy, Germany, France, Spain, the Netherlands, Iceland and Finland. We are now launching a weekly show on medium wave with a million watts of power, starting on Saturday, 14th March between 23:00 and 24:00 GMT. Midnight Rendezvous will be heard on 1,467kHz (204m) Medium Wave right across Europe. Most listeners will be able to tune in on an ordinary portable radio or car radio wherever they are in the UK, Ireland or on the Continent.

The top 5 from Sanremo will now be included in the Late Night Lismore programme on 14th March.
Many listeners have asked if it’s possible to listen again to our new books series Bookmark. The answer is yes, the February programme (and future editions also) can be found here.

Glen Dickson‘s series My Chequered Past with musical memories of soul, ska, motown and mods is now airing weekly on Fridays at 23:00 GMT and Sundays at 19:00.

The Spirit of the 70s 2026

For three days in March, Radio Caroline is bringing back the spirit of the station between 1976 and 1980 with a final Spirit of the 70s broadcast.

Once again some of the boys from those golden years will be back aboard the current ship remembering the sinking of our previous ship, the much loved Mi Amigo, and marking the start of the 24 hour English language broadcasts which started 50 years ago this May.

The final Spirit of the 70s will be live from 7am on Friday 20th of March until Sunday evening on Sunday 22nd March.

The programme of this can you find under this text on https://www.radiocaroline.co.uk/#home.html  and then The Spirit of the 70s

Galei Tzahal 1287 could be heard in Rotterdam on a KiwiSDR mixed with the Spanisch stations on the channel. 21.00 UTC  March 11, 2026,
As it seems the army station operated by the IDF has not been closed, as sheduled by March 1, 2026.
Obviously the Iran war must be the reason.
The AM 1287 (and others?) are on air since AM signals give better reception in Shelters and bunkers. FM and mobile phones don’t work there.
For monitoring 1287 the Cyprus Kiwi SDR (TWR) is a good option http://cyp.twrmon.net:8073/
(Funny, the Spanisch stations carried football reports and Real Madrid, this match was discussed later on Gazei Tzahal)

Hebrew language is (once more) back on 1287 kHz this evening. Good signal in central Europe, but quite surprising.

Didnt they want to close their military radio station? Reliable sources have reported the closure of GLTZ recently:
