COPE: Along with Lugo’s EAK58, and EAK14 Huelva (both 1224 kHz), recently announced in mediumwave.info, I had knowledge of more closings in this end of June, 2026.
The following stations are to close in next days or weeks:
358 m. 837 EAK3 Burgos — 5 kW
264 m. 1134 EAK19 Salamanca — 10 kW
262 m. 1143 EAK40 Jaén — 5 kW
245 m. 1224 EAK14 Huelva — 10 kW
245 m. 1224 EAK58 Lugo — 2 kW
Burgos is inviting to tune 95,5; Miranda 105,2; Aranda 99,1 and Merindades 94,5 Mhz. Jaén, to 94,2 MHz.
In my QTH (Valencia), I can only hear the loops of Burgos and Jaén.
I can confirm the following stations are with NORMAL PROGRAMME:
383 m. 783 kHz EAJ39 Barcelona
358 m. 837 kHz EAK2 Sevilla
340 m. 882 kHz EAK31 Alicante (maybe EAK11 Málaga behind)
333 m. 900 kHz EAK39 Granada (really strong, seems full 10 kW TX use)
300 m. 999 kHz EAK1 Madrid (the strongest)
285 m. 1053 kHz EAK78 Castellón (Villarreal)
264 m. 1134 kHz EAK17 Jerez
245 m. 1224 kHz EAK69 Almería
236 m. 1269 kHz EAK26 Zamora (tiny signal, one can check sometimes on weekdays local football matches)
With the two stations in Canary Islands (837 and 882), those are, more or less, the remaining transmitters of a network who had in the 80s to till 2013, about 45 outlets, one in almost every Spanish province. What a decadence!
