Today 4 August 2026 is celebrated as Janmashtami, the birthday of Lord Krishna.
Several MW & FM stations of Akashvani will have extended broadcasts tonight at 1740 to around 1845 UTC (11.10 pm to around 12.15 am IST). This will be relay from Akashvani Mathura, the birth place of Lord Krishna.
Akashvani Mathura by the way identifies on air as “Akashwnai Mathura Vrindavan” and now operates on 102.2 MHz.
