Camagüey Cuba MW review
As some of you on the list have ask me about the MW AM stations I will compile a sample of observations for a few days on this thread for you.
Starting right now. For all the test I used SDRplay RSP1 + vertical antenna of 7m + base tuner (bypassed) and Gqrx on Ubuntu Linux.
Active Tx sites on my side as of now: Oct2, 2026 ~10:00am local 14:00 UTC
– 630 [usually R. Progreso] long time no see, it there with a steady carrier and no audio, just some peeps from time to time like feedback starters but contained
– 670 [usually R. Cadena Agramonte, recently Radio Rebelde] same, strong carrier no audio, just static noise like a bad plug with a low AC hum
– 950 [R. Reloj] strong carrier with no audio and static noise, some random peaks of feedback-like starters from time to time
– 1141 [1140 +1 Radio Camaguey during the day and back to R. Cadena Agramonte] los carrier (this is a city transmitter, not province one) no audio rhythmic static noise
– 1180 [R. Rebelde] Strong signal, audio sounds over driven

Note: the same paced interval peaks on the waterfall is an artifact from my PC-Monitor combo + interference from the AC inverter
