Aaron Ishmael’s Mid-Century Radio purchases Classic Hip Hop “Jump 104.5870 KJMP Pierce/K283CN Fort Collins CO from Northeast Digital and Wireless’ Brahmin Broadcasting Corporation for $50,000. The station has been operated by Ishmael’s co-owned Loud Media since 2019 via LMA.

Augusta Radio Fellowship sells 1090 WCZZ/102.7 W274CC Greenwood SC to Benetra Calhoun’s ALJEPI Productions for $95,000.

La Radio Cristiana Network acquires 1210 KUBR San Juan/McAllen TX from the estate of Paulino Bernal for no consideration. La Radio will also acquire 890 KVOZ Del Mar Hills/Laredo from the estate’s Consolidated Radio Inc. for no consideration.

After beginning to operate the stations as part of his “Sports Superstations” network in September 2022, Bill Shanks’ Shanks Broadcasting will purchase 1400 WSEG/104.3 W282AR Savannah, 1350 WFNS/98.5 W253CI Blackshear, and 790 WSFN Brunswick GA from Southern Media Interactive for $260,000. Shanks owns five other stations and four translators in southern Georgia.

Neeti Ray’s CINA Radio Group has closed on its purchase of three AMs in Hamilton and Windsor ON and has debuted new Classic Hits formats on 1150 CKOC Hamilton and 580 CKWW Windsor.
CKWW evolves from Oldies to a 1970s/80s based playlist. It will feature Mark Lander and Kara Ro in mornings. Lander previously spent 20 years at AAA “93.9 The River” CIDR Windsor, while Ro, a retired professional boxer, has worked at 800 CKLW and 95.1 CKUE.
CKOC most recently carried Bloomberg business programming. It is now positioning as “Superhits of the 70s and 80s”. Kent Chambers, who most recently hosted afternoons at “Jewel 88.5” CKDX-FM Toronto, will be heard in mornings. Ro will host middays, and Scott Penfold will follow in afternoons. Penfold has worked across Ontario including a five years in afternoons at Classic Rock “Y108” CJXY-FM Hamilton from 2010-15.
CINA Radio Group is also acquiring 820 CHAM Hamilton, but has not yet set its plans for that signal.

Station Sales:
The Estate of John Walton’s Walton Stations sells Classic Hits 1360 KBUY/105.9 K290AY, Country “Bear Country1450 KWES/94.7 K234AQ, and Classic Country 93.5 KWES-FM Ruidoso NM to Will Rooney’s MTD Inc. for $170,000. The three stations will create a cluster with the buyer’s Hot AC “Mix 96.7” KNMB Captain and Classic Rock “101.5 The Kid” KIDX Ruidoso. MTD Inc. also owns two other stations in southeastern New Mexico.

Steven Lara’s Gorilla Broadcasting purchases 1440 WDXQ/96.7 W244CL Cochran and 610 WCEH/96.1 W241CO Hawkinsville GA from Shanks Broadcasting for $390,000. WDXQ had begun carrying Lara’s Regional Mexican “El Gallo” brand simulcasting 94.3 WLEL Ellaville in 2023, while WCEH dropped its Classic Rock “Highway 96” identity to join the simulcast last month. Lara also operates “El Gallo” branded stations in Raleigh NC, Myrtle Beach SC and Cedar Rapids IA.

‘Jeff Jacobs’ Huffman’s Jacobs Radio Programmings purchases Classic Hits “Radio Clatsop840 KSWB/98.1 K251CD Seaside OR from John Chapman’s KSWB Productions for $50,000. With an LMA starting on July 1, KSWB becomes Jacobs’ third property in the northwest corner of Oregon joining Rock “93.3 The Rock” KEUB Gearhart and Country “C96” 96.5 KCYS Seaside.

Northeast Digital and Wireless sells 1420 WRSA St. Albans VT to Kalani Bowles’s Sky Radio & Press LLC for $25,000. Bowles most recently worked as a news reporter for iHeartMedia Cape Cod and has also held positions at television stations in Albany NY the Quad Cities. WRSA currently simulcasts Hot AC “Mix 102.3” WIXM Grand Isle/Burlington.

Batten Communications’ WCHM Radio Inc. sells Conservative Talk 1490 WCHM/94.3 W232DU Clarkesville GA to Catherine Cleiman’s Cleiman Communications LLC for $450,000. Batten retains three other station in North Georgia: 1230 WJUL/97.5 W248BJ Hiawassee, 1300 WJBB/107.1 W296CX Winder, and 95.1 WJRB Young Harris.

Norsan Media has announced the acquisition of JVC Broadcasting’s stations in Orlando FL for an undisclosed amount.
Norsan will acquire Conservative Talk “Florida Man Radio” 103.1 WFYY Windermere and Sports “ESPN 660” WDYZ Altamonte Springs/105.5 W288CJ Oviedo with flips to Spanish language formats to follow. CEO Natalia Sanchez Alvarez says, “This is not only the 9th market the company will have operations in, but it’s a strategic move to embed within the thriving local Hispanic community in Orlando and foster genuine connections there. As we continue to expand and innovate, these additions are poised to bring fresh perspectives and dynamic content to our growing audience. Stay tuned for more details in the coming weeks.”
Norsan Media was founded by Norberto Sanchez in 2004 and currently owns 40+ radio stations, 4 television stations, and regional print/digital publications. Its holding company NORSAN dates to 1987 and operates 18 restaurants.
JVC Broadcasting will retain its stations in Long Island NY and Fort Walton Beach and Ocala FL.

Spanish American Civic Association For Equality purchases Spanish Tropical “Mega 107.11440 WGLD/W296EA Manchester Township/York PA from Victor Martinez’ VP Broadcasting for $350,000. The buyer owns non-commercial Spanish Variety “Radio Centro” 91.3 WLCH Lancaster/100.3 W262AQ York and began operating WGLD/W296EA via LMA on June 1.

Dave Smulyan’s KBEL Communications sells Conservative Talk 1240 KBEL and Country 96.7 KBEL-FM Idalou OK to Jay and Laura Lindly’s JL Radio LLC for $560,000. The buyers own crosstown Classic Hits “Q102.9” KQIB Idabel and “Best Country 106.1” KKBI Broken Bow.

Vidify Media sells Brokered Talk 1490 WWPR Bradenton FL to the William Bailey led Happy Gospel Singers Evangelistic Crusade, Inc. for $125,000. The Bradenton based non-profit has existed since 1967 as a performance group, but this is their first radio purchase.

Byrne Acquisition Group acquires “Q Rock Radio1240 WLSQ/106.7 W294CW Loris SC from Banana Jack Murphy Productions for $250,000. The station will join the company’s Conservative Talk “Talk 94.5” WTKN Murrells Inlet and Soft AC “Easy 105.9/100.7” WEZV North Myrtle Beach/WYEZ Andrews in the Myrtle Beach market.

Davis Media will acquire JAM Media Solutions’ seven stations in two markets out of Chapter 7 bankruptcy liquidation.

Davis will acquire Classic Country 860 KWPC/95.1 K236CF and Rock 93.1 KMCS Muscatine IA and four stations in North Carolina’s Outer Banks: Rock “Z92.3” WZPR Nags Head, Country “Big 94.5” WCMS Hatteras, AAA “99.1 The Sound” WVOD Manteo, and Hot AC “Beach 104” 104.1 WCXL Kill Devil Hills along with two tower properties and other equipment and assets for $800,000. From that $150,000 will be retained by Davis Media to correct any antenna, transmission line, lighting, structural, or maintenance issues at the tower of WCMS. Upon completion of all repairs, any additional funds will be transferred to the seller.

A Time Brokerage Agreement will take effect on May 1.

Davis Media currently owns Country “93.7 The Dude” WNTB and AAA “98.3 The Penguin” WUIN in Wilmington NC and AAA “92.3 The Tide” WTYD and “107.9 Cannon Country” WBQK in the Williamsburg VA area. The company also owns local news platforms in both markets similar to JAM’s OBXToday.com in the Outer Banks.

Darren Girdner’s G2 Media Group is selling his three stations in Fort Smith AR to Melinda Leigh and Edwin Martin’s Black Diamond Properties LLC for $1.3 million. The deal includes Red Dirt Country “Red Dirt 96.71580 KAGE/96.7 K244FJ Fort Smith, Southern Gospel “98.7 The Cross1650 KFSW/98.7 K254AM Fort Smith, and Rock/Country “Mix 105.1” KXMX Muldrow OK.

Punjabi American Media acquires 1510 KSPA Ontario CA from Intelli Inc. for $100,000. The buyer owns seven stations in California running their South Asian programming.

Pamela McClatchey’s McClatchey Broadcasting sells Christian 1590 KELP/95.9 K240ER El Paso TX to On Earth Media LLC for $634,744 including the station real estate. McClatchey, who is also on the board of Sky High Broadcasting’s 89.3 KELP-FM Mesquite NM will also transfer that station to the members of the buyers of KELP/K240ER.

David Leroy Billy is using power of attorney to acquire Standards 1280 KPRV Poteau and Classic Country/Classic Hits 92.5 KPRV-FM Heavener OK from his father Leroy Billy due to poor health.
