Unid on 1530 kHz. After listening to the recording I find the ID Radio Dolfijn, which operates FM stations in Bonaire and Curacao. At the same time I recall news about a new emergency station in Bonaire on 1530 kHz with relay of an existing station when no emergency occurs. https://bonaire1530.nl/nl_nl/
“Arctic 252 is an exciting Finland-based project founded by British ex-pat Matt King. Now residing in Inari, northern Finland, Matt has acquired the license to broadcast on 252 kHz,
the frequency once home to Atlantic 252. This station, which launched on September 1st, 1989, became a major part of the radio scene. One of its original DJs was Charlie Wolf, a former host
on LASER558. With Arctic 252, Matt aims to bring back the spirit of 80s radio, especially in regions where long-wave radio is still widely used.” Read more… https://laser558.live/arctic-252/
Transatlantic DX: US “daytimers” As we move towards Autumn in Europe I have noticed the first signs of US daytimer stations: 1530 WVBF Talking Information Network 2255utc 1/9/26 1590 WHGT (probably) Christian programming cut power mid programme 0015 1/9/26 Both on the BDMR but I think these were either on the Asian or S American Beverages (I don’t think the N Am Beverage was active). This a good sign because the 2nd half of September is usually the better time for catching stations before they power down.
I have been wondering for a while whether PEF Canal 1 from Funchal on Madeira Island is still active on 1530 kHz. It is the only station still listed in ‘Europe’ overnight @ 3 kW, between the daily ROU broadcasts. I often see a fading carrier after 1900z (QRT Romania) but never got a readable signal.
Last night I left my rx tuned to just below 1530 in USB to see the carrier over time and potential audio, but only the carrier was visible in my spectrogram thru 0245z when Radio Constanza signs on, from 0300z both ROU stations were audible with different programming.
But at 0117z, a male ID (jingle?) was suddenly audible in English, but I cannot understand the station name or even a QTH. Nothing heard before or later, only the music which faded rather quickly thereafter.
Do you have any idea what this may have been? I attach what I heard and my spectrogram, yellow time scale in UTC. My location is central Bavaria, my rx a SONY CF-2001D, my ant. a 50 cm MagLoop (tuned) in-house.

A CME expected to hit Earth on Aug 28th is overdue. But NOAA forecasters think it might still arrive on Aug. 29th. An impact today could spark G1/G2 geomagnetic storming with high-latitude auroras. https://spaceweather.com/
RealMix will start broadcasting on medium wave this Saturday! The broadcasts can be heard on 1485 kHz AM from Raasepori, in addition to the familiar shortwave frequency of 6005 kHz. During the test phase, the transmitter power will be 15 watts. The plan is to increase the power to 250 watts in October, which will improve coverage. Reception reports are always welcome!
