According to the web site, the station promises to be the „home of non-stop Bollywood, Bhangra, Mainstream Western and specialist underground shows such as House and Garage, Drum and Bass, Hip Hop, RnB, Dubs and Reggae to name a few. We guarantee to play more great songs than any other radio station in London, make sure AsianFx Radio is one of your pre-set stations on your DAB digital radio.“ Medium wave is still not mentioned.
The 1584 AM licence was originally won by London Turkish Radio, which launched in 1990. It was later taken over by Panjab Radio which swapped it with Love Sport to acquire the wider heard frequency 558 kHz. Love Sport failed. So Panjab Radio could put another programme on their original medium wave frequency.
