Salem Media Group has announced the acquisition of 990 WMYM/98.7 W254DT Kendall/Miami FL from Actualidad Media Group.

Salem will pay $5 million for WMYM and its 30 acre tower site southwest of Miami on the fringes of the Everglades. The deal marks the return of Salem to the Miami market as the company sold its four stations off between 2017 and 2020. The company states it intends to launch a Spanish language Conservative and Family themed format on the signals.

Actualidad Media Group will retain its three other signals in the Miami market in Spanish News/Talk “Actualidad 1040WURN/103.9 W280FV Miami, Brokered Haitian 1020 WLVJ Boynton Beach, and Spanish AC “Exitos 107.1” WURN-FM Key Largo.
