Further to the closure of the Rogers owned radio stations shut down today. They are as follows:
CKWX 1130 Vancouver
CISL 650 Vancouver
CFFR 660 Calgary
CFAC 960 Calgary
CKGL 570 Kitchener

I have attached what I heard on the Calgary stations every 15 minute or so. CFFR is now off the air while CFAC is still an open carrier at 2:30 MDT.
Noting that the NewsRadio 660 Calgary is directing listeners to the CITI TV feed for news. Video Killed The Radio Star.

I was monitoring CISL 650 kHz and CKWX 1130 kHz during the past hour or more from my location north of Seattle.
CISL 650 kHz aired a “going off the air” announcement at 1946 UTC and then turned off the transmitters at 1954 UTC (12:54 p.m.).
CKWX 1130 kHz aired announcements at 1945 UTC, 2000 UTC, 2015 UTC, and 2030 UTC. The station then went off the air at 2043 UTC (1:43 p.m.).
A sad day for Canadian radio.
