Kossuth Rádió suspended its broadcasts at 07.07.2026 16:00 local time, with the following message “Public media cannot lie. We apologize for doing this for many years! Public media is now being transformed to be independent and credible in the future. The news service is temporarily suspended. Stay with us!”. Since then Bartók Rádió can be heard both on 540 kHz and on the FM network of Kossuth Rádió. Bartók Rádió is the 3rd channel of Hungarian state radio with classical music and drama programs. The suspension is for one month according to the current news.
