Normal schedule 0445-0505, 0700-0805, 1045-1115 and 1645-1715 UTC.
Still not the usual good reception quality, but the problem with outages seems to have been solved.

The Kalundborg LW transmitter on 243 kHz:
“Signal was on-off here permanently, on irregular basis. Observation on Sunday, Jan. 30th around 18:10 CET. Radiation power seems to be reduced as well, usually this is booming in here at the Baltic Sea (I can even catch Kalundborg FM transmitters some time). Disappointing signal strengh this afternoon, and many drop outs.”
Two other observations from Sweden and Denmark tell the same story.

A severe storm passed the country from Saturday till Sunday noon and it could have caused some problems. The storm may have put a fine layer of salt over the power supply components (just my guess).

Radio Caroline confirms power increase on 648 AM medium wave.

Radio Caroline is now transmitting 4kw of power following approval from Ofcom to increase its 1kw output.

The stronger signal now covers East Anglia, East Midlands, Kent, Sussex and beyond, as well as once again covering The Netherlands and Belgium, and into France and Germany.

Ofcom agreed to the increase earlier this year and the power was boosted last week.

A powerful Harris transmitter, capable of providing 25kw of power, was imported from Holland and installed at the Orfordness Transmitting Site in Suffolk, England where Radio Caroline sends its 648 AM signal from a redundant but complete BBC World Service facility now owned by Cobra Mist Ltd, who offered Radio Caroline use of the facility.

“It may seem crazy to turn the clock back when other radio stations and the BBC are winding down AM – and only Radio Caroline would do this – but there is method in our madness, in that AM radio works as well as it ever did with durability and long range.” said Radio Caroline station manager Peter Moore.

“Most cars have an AM radio and for sure every home has one that just needs to be taken down off the shelf. For years the industry and government have been persuading listeners to put perfectly good radios to one side and buy a new set that works in a different way – but maybe not as well. If your usual station has deserted you, listeners can return to Caroline.”

Radio Emmeloord struggling with here AM outlet.
After nearly a week,  the Dutch LPAM station, Radio Emmeloord will return to the 747 Khz, from Pietersbierum in the western part of the provence of Friesland. Radio Emmeloord got a permission to start to use there earlier frequency of 1224 Khz., using the location in Pietersbierum. A week or so ago transmissions were started, but then still on the 747, the frequency on which the transmitter and antenna were tuned. After the frequency change to 1224, the 11th of Decembre, transmission quality was much more lower. The modulation was bad, and the signallevel was lower.
Also complaints came in of interference of foreign radiostations. Probably side-splatter from Absolute Radio from the UK on 1215 Khz.
Earlier this week on Monday one of the initiators Dick Offringa of Radio Emmeloord told in his own radioshow that  they were planning to bring there own AM transmitter, with a good old endstage with tubes, to Pietersbierum. And also better tuning of the whole antennasystem should take place. This plan is cancelled and as from tomorrow, Thursday the 16th of Decembre, 12.00 hours local time Radio Emmeloord will return to the 747 Khz.
Reception of the 747 was, and will be, on nearby KiWiSDR receivers quit well. Also propagation over the North Sea will be possible. Pietersbierum is near the coast of Friesland. Only disadvantage of the former Jumbo 747 from Dutch radio is that Radio Emmeloord will get into a co-channel battle with MCB Radio, a LPAM station near the city of Leiden. Especially in the western part of the Netherlands.
